OLEFA 15.12: OLEFABase and OLEFACalendar integration


  1. OLEFA calendar:
    • Possibility to subscribe to an OLEFA database of type calendar, which will display each record as calendar event and link it back to the database view
  2. OLEFAbase:
    • Possibility to create a new collaboration project, such as wiki, tiparlo, storyboard… directly from within the comment-area of a record. This will create the project, and publish a link to it as a comment.
    • Comments now also show the avatar picture of the creator.
    • New database template of type calendar
    • The database setup now lets you specify date-fields, time-fields and combined date-time-fields
  3. Assignments:
    • Now offers notifications for new or modified assignments.
  4. Various bugfixes and performance improvements.

Contern goes online with their new school website


The new Website for the elementary school of Contern is now online: www.schoul-conter.lu
Also, their school library with over 4000 books already uses the OLEFA library management system since September.

OLEFA 15.10: OLEFAcalendar improvements and storyboard for tablets


  1. OLEFA Storyboard:

    • Completely new tablet mode, that takes advantage of the whole display area and includes many optimizations for touch controls

    • New background for empty screens


  2. OLEFA calendar:

    • Possibility to group the calendars into different categories

    • When creating/editing events, warnings inform you if events of the same calendar are overlapping


  3. OLEFA soundrecorder:

    • Interface improvement without an explicit stop-button; this function now lies directly on the record and play buttons while running


  4. Pinboard:

    • An interface adaptation that makes it easier to post attachments in replies


  5. Users import:

    • Group hierarchy is now respected.


  6. Various bugfixes and performance improvements.

OLEFA 15.9: New assignments tool


  1. Assignments

    This completely new tool allows the teacher

    • to attribute assignments to groups and/or single users,

    • to specify a due date,

    • to upload attachments,

    • to add tags.


    And it allows students

    • to filter them by tags and to hide assignments that are already done,

    • to interact with the teacher,

    • to hand in files,

    • to mark assignments as completed.


    Afterwards, the teacher also has the possibility

    • to confirm the correct completion of an assignment,

    • to reject assignments that have not been completed correctly,

    • to give feedback to the student.


  2. OLEFbase:

    • The person overview in the status area now also shows thumbnails of the cover images, and in addition to the status link also offers direct links to the edit-screen and the website view mask.


  3. Various bugfixes and performance improvements.
